I cannot say this enough: we create all our experiences in life through our thoughts. Before anything takes form—whether it’s a new invention, a solution to a problem, or even an emotional reaction—it begins with a thought. This is called Power of Thought.
Think about it. Every car, every computer, every cell phone, and every innovation in history started as an idea in someone’s mind. Similarly, your anxiety begins with a thought. And just as thoughts can create anxiety, they also hold the key to navigating your way out of it.
Take this as an example: “I can’t drive on the freeway.” That’s not a fact—it’s a thought. No one but yourself is telling you that you can’t drive on the freeway. The limits you perceive are often ones you place on yourself through repeated thinking.
The same applies to holding onto the past. Trying to fix a mistake or undo a regret is like looking for corners in a circle. There are none. You can’t rewrite the past, but you can move forward. Letting go and embracing acceptance transforms the way you see the world.
So, ask yourself: Are your thoughts working for you or against you? You don’t need to change your circumstances, your surroundings, or even your clothes to feel better—just change your thoughts.
Now, I know you might be thinking, “But I can’t let go of something that once brought me comfort.” Here’s the truth: trying to recreate an old experience to feel the same sense of comfort is futile. Life changes, and so do you. Clinging to what once was will only keep you stuck.
The key is to use your thoughts wisely. Focus on thoughts that serve your growth and well-being. Let them guide you forward instead of pulling you back.
When you make peace with your thoughts, the world around you begins to look different. Use this power to uplift yourself first, and then, with the strength you’ve gained, uplift others.
